Our revamped Lucea facility in Hanover focuses entirely on fresh pork packaging and premium cuts.
Here we produce Copperwood Pork, Jamaica's first branded fresh pork with full traceability and consistent quality. Before us, the local fresh pork market was completely unbranded and untraceable. We changed that by introducing premium cuts and reliable standards that retailers and consumers have come to trust.

Our Kingston plant handles all the value-added meat products: bacon, hams, sausages, and more, packaged under the Caribbean Passion and Bad Dawg brands.
Bad Dawg, the bigga, betta, badda sausage, uses 100% real meat and premium ingredients. It took time to convince the market to move away from low-quality frankfurters, but Bad Dawg has become a market leader by consistently delivering better taste and quality.
This facility also positions us to expand beyond pork into other meats like beef, goat, and sheep.
We introduced several firsts to the Jamaican market:
Sustainability drives everything we do. As a fully integrated operation, we raise pigs from superior stock and work closely with local pig farmers, providing training in best practices.
Our commitment to quality actually sparked the birth of Newport Genetics, our initiative to improve local livestock from the ground up through superior genetics and healthier, leaner pigs for better-tasting pork.
This integrated approach ensures consistent quality, supports local livestock farmers, and strengthens Jamaica's food security by reducing our reliance on imported fresh pork.
Over the past 25+ years, our Meat Processing division has been the key driver of Jamaica’s pork self-sufficiency, growing it by over 10% to 77% currently, reducing reliance on imports and bolstering national food security.
As Jamaica’s largest and only fully vertically integrated producer, we’ve become the catalyst for transforming the meat industry, setting new standards for quality, sustainable pork and across the Caribbean.
