Key stakeholders from the pet retail sector gathered recently at Sandals Ocho Rios for the True Pet Food Retailer Brunch, where the Jamaica brand unveiled upcoming product innovations and led a forward-thinking conversation on the future of pet care in the region.
Retailers in attendance were introduced to True Pet Food’s soon-to-be-released products, along with insights into the evolving landscape of Caribbean pet care, consumer trends, and the brand’s commitment to shaping a healthier, more informed future for pets and their owners.
“True Pet Food is very proud to be able to offer real solutions to issues that pets and pet owners have in the Caribbean. It is by no means an easy task, and we absolutely cannot accomplish what we do without the support of our customers and our partners in the trade,” said Tina Hamilton, senior manager for True Pet Food. This brunch created a space to explore the future of the pet industry, share knowledge, and ensure we’re equipping retailers with the tools they need to meet the modern pet parent’s expectations.”
Retail partners expressed strong optimism and support for the brand’s direction.
Sheryl Chung of General Foods Supermarket, a True Pet Food retailer for five years, remarked:
“I think the public is going to welcome the new range that’s coming out – it’s what they have been waiting for. They want the quality, and I really believe in what is being presented to us, because they have a good history on what they’ve been providing so far, and we are here to offer the support.”
Kurt Boothe, CEO/director of Medical Disposables and Supplies Limited, echoed the sentiment:
“We’ve been with True over a year now, and the passion is unmatched. I think the energy that the CB Group has put around the True Pet Food brand is out of this world. First of all, you have such a quality product, you’ve made believers out of us. For us, it’s an effortless sale and distribution; we are believers.”
“As it relates to the new products, I think they’re exciting stuff and we’re enthused about them, especially the demand for cat food. We have our eyes peeled for more to come in the line extension.”
Patrick Lee, managing director at Lee’s Food Fair, added:
“I love the fact that they are taking the time with the new products, the detail and the perfectionism to make the products work. Why not support something that is homegrown? I will do my part, and I love the innovation that’s going on. We’re super excited about it.”
True Pet Food’s dedication to quality, regional relevance, and retailer partnerships continues to position the brand as a leader in the Caribbean pet care market. With new innovations on the horizon, the brand remains committed to improving pet wellness while supporting its retail network every step of the way.
